Travel Deals

If you’re anything like me, you love to travel but you also love a good travel deal. Who wants to pay hundreds more for a flight? Or spend hours and hours searching for the best travel deal? I know that I sure don’t. And I’m pretty sure you don’t either.

That’s why I’ve created this Travel Deal page of the sites that I use to find the best deals. Some of them are last minute travel deals, while some of them are available months in advance so there’s something for everyone, regardless of your travel style.

How to Find Cheap International Flights

My first tip to find a cheap flight is to use a flight aggregator that searches various sights for you. That’s why I love Jetradar. It’s a flight aggregator that searches like Skycanner, Momondo, Jetcost, Lufthansa and more.   Enter your search below and you’ll see what I mean:

My second tip is when it’s possible, be flexible when you fly. You can save hundreds of dollars by being flexible when you fly.  Use Jetradar’s low fare calendar to see the cheapest times to fly. For example, for a return flight from Munich, Germany to New York in November I could pay anywhere between $306 to $1638. That’s a difference of $1332!

Deals on Accommodations

I book 99% of all my hotel stays through Booking.com. I like that they have the best price guarantee (so I don’t need to spend hours searching on other sites). They also have a large selection of not only hotels but also apartments, villas, resorts and BYBs.

For even further savings check out their Today’s Top Deals.

Furthermore, many properties offer free cancellation and don’t require an advance payment which I like when I’m not certain about my travel plans. Note: always check the accommodation’s policies as it depends on the property.

Cheap Accommodation for Multi-Day Stays

If I’m going to be staying in the same place for three nights or more then I’ll often book an Airbnb since accommodations here are often much cheaper, and roomier than hotels. I also like that when you book an entire apartment you get a kitchen so you can save money by going to the grocery store and making your own breakfast (and other meals if you desire). Use this link and you’ll get €34 off if it’s your first time booking with Airbnb.

Deals on Travel Insurance

I’m a big fan of World Nomads because their insurance packages include repatriation insurance (i.e. they’ll help you get back home if you’re sick and require special assistance). Many travellers don’t check this option but it’s really important. Fill out the form below for an immediate quote:

Deals on Trekking and Hiking Tours

Admittedly, I’m biased here but I would highly recommend our trekking and hiking tours. At the moment we have 2019 pricing for 2020 self-guided Tour du Mont Blanc tours
