What is a Mastermind? And Why You Need One

You've heard that 2 heads are better than one.   So imagine, what having access to a small group of smart motivated entrepreneurs on a regular basis could do for your business?

While you may be able to climb to the top alone, it's an arduous and lonely way to do it.  Being in a mastermind, a small group of peers who meet regularly to give and receive advice and support and hold each other accountable is a much faster and more enjoyable journey towards your goals.

You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. The people you spend the most time with shape who you are.

- Jim Rohn, a self-made millionaire before 31, author, motivational speaker and Tony Robbins's mentor
The term "mastermind" was coined by author Napoleon Hill in his iconic book Think and Grow Rich. He even had his own imaginary mastermind envisioning what advice his business idols would give him. Fortunately, you don't have to make due with an imaginary one. You can participate in a real one through the Mountain Peak Mastermind, a 4 1/2 day event from July 11th - 15th in Bansko, Bulgaria, that also includes membership in a 3-month online mastermind following the event.

7 Benefits of Being in a Mastermind

  • Accountability. Your mastermind group will hold you accountable for the goals you set that you'll reach your goals faster.
  • Build your network. Members can save you hours when you're searching for an expert. Everything from VAs, video editors, to ads, funnel and SEO experts.
  • Strategize and Get High-Value Feedback. Want advice on your marketing or sales strategy?  Feedback on your sales page? Advice on how to deal with a poor-performing contractor?  Your mastermind can help.
  • Get Support. Look, being an entrepreneur is challenging. Your mastermind is where you can share your challenges and celebrate your successes without people thinking that you're bragging.
  • Think and Grow Bigger. So often we limit our own success by thinking we're not ___ (smart/knowledgable/experienced, etc) enough to do something. A mastermind will see your strengths and pus you to set goals outside of your comfort zone.
  • Get New Ideas and Insights. Peers from various industries  think differently from people in your industry and may have innovative approaches that could work well in your business.
  • Quick Learning Curve. Your mastermind members will have skills and experience that have taken them years to acquire. They can often share it with you quickly, saving your hours and $$$.

Specific Examples of What I've Personally Seen Happen in a Mastermind

  • Brainstorming session to 5x a company's revenue in less than 18 months.  I changed my business model in a way I never would have without this feedback and which resulted in substantial growth.
  • Referral That Led to a $25,000 Client. While referring clients isn't the main goal of a mastermind, it often happens.
  • Finding a New JV Partner. A member wanted to grow their business through a joint venture and found their partner through a referral.
  • Strategy for Capitalizing on  Traffic After Performing the National Anthem at an NFL  Game. We helped this member come up with a game plan to capitalize on her newfound fame.
  • Content Marketing Strategy That Resulted in an Aditional $17,000 in Revenue. Based on a recommended strategy from another member.
  • And So Much More. That's just the tip of the iceberg. The right mastermind can accelerate your way to the top like nothing else can.
