Walking the West Highland Way

The West Highland Way is Scotland’s first official long distance walking route established in 1980.  It’s also one of the most scenic long distance hikes that I’ve done!

The 150 km (95 mile) route starts just outside of Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. It finishes at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland in Fort William, known as the adventure capital of Scotland. You can book either a guided tour or self-guided tour through our trusted partner, Wilderness Scotland. I did a self-guided tour with them when I walked the West Highland Way and they made it so easy. All I had to was show up and hike.

Hiking and Visiting Monasteries in Meteora, Greece 

Centuries old monasteries perch on huge rock towers, giving the illusion of being suspended in air – the meaning of Meteora! It’s one of the most unique places I’ve ever visited!  You’ll find hiking opportunities combined with culture in this incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Visit Meteora offers guided tours whose locals guides are renown storytellers who have a way of bringing the past to life.
